Quick Cheese Fondue

Looking for a fun, party food for a group or maybe just the family?  My family loves to do our own Fondue night at home.  I love the Melting Pot and we go there every year for my birthday, however it certainly is time consuming and tough to always get a babysitter for nights out like that.  So our family has a recipe that is pretty close to the cheddar cheese fondue we love at the restaurant.  This is a fun meal that would be perfect for New Years Eve!

It's pretty quick to make with the most time consuming part being the chopping and dicing of the dippers.  That can easily be done ahead of time and stored in the fridge for whenever you are ready to eat.  When it's time, just throw your ingredients into your fondue pot, stir, and wait for it to heat up.  Quick, easy and delicious!

Cheddar Cheese Fondue
by Love Bug Living

1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 cup french onion dip (store bought)
2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Pepper to taste
Splash of beer (optional)
Dippers - French bread (cubed), Veggies, and Fruit (applies, pears, carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower)

Combine all ingredients except dippers in fondue pot and mix.  Place over low heat until cheese melts and mixture is hot.  Stir constantly.  Cheese can be kept over low heat when served or removed from heat if eating immediately.  Use fondue skewers to dip.

Whether you are celebrating at home with a movie night or a crazy party with friends, have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve.  Wishing you the best of times in the New Year!  Make it what you want it to be!
