Holiday Shots

It's New Year's Eve!  Time for fun and celebration with friends.  Or maybe it's a great reason for a quiet night at home with some board games and a few drinks.  Well, if you are still trying to figure out what that drink may be, try one of these fun shots!

It seems my family has started a new tradition of doing a couple of shots together at the holidays.  Thanksgiving we tried some Fireball Whiskey.  This Christmas, my Dad was the one to get the supplies for this Peppermint Eggnog shot.  Easy and yummy!  All you will need is a bottle of unspiked eggnog and peppermint schnapps.

To make your Peppermint Eggnog shot, simply mix one part eggnog and one part peppermint Schnapps.  Mix and serve!  It's also pretty yummy as a drink over ice, but I changed the mixture to two parts eggnog to one part peppermint schnapps.

Need another recipe to use that peppermint schnapps in?  How about a Santa's Shot!

Try this shot made of peppermint schnapps, crème de menthe, and grenadine from This Girl Walks into a Bar.  Click HERE for the recipe!

Maybe you want a little bubbly to ring in the New Year!  You can't go wrong with Champagne Jello Shots!

You will need:
2 - 4 oz boxes of pineapple jello
1 1/2 cups of boiling water
2 1/2 cups of champagne
Optional - strawberries, sliced
Small plastic shot glasses

In a medium bowl, combine jello with boiling water.  Stir until dissolved.  Place in fridge for 10-15 minutes.  Add chilled champagne into jello mixture.  Place in fridge for another 10-15 minutes to allow the bubbles to settle.  Pour into shot glasses.  Top with sliced strawberries.  Refrigerate until firm.  Your bubbly jello will be ready to toast with friends!  Happy New Year!!
